Vitamin C Serum

A vitamin C serum for all skin types, for when your skin looks dull or uneven, or you are working on dark spots. It pairs 2% vitamin C with ferulic acid and plant oils, so the lightweight serum also leaves skin feeling moisturised. The main form of vitamin C is ascorbyl glucoside, vitamin C bound to glucose, which is more stable than pure ascorbic acid; a little ascorbyl palmitate appears further down. Vitamin C helps skin look brighter and more even. Ferulic acid and vitamin E (tocopherol) are antioxidants that help defend skin from everyday environmental stress. Glycerin and sodium PCA draw water into the skin, with two forms of hyaluronic acid in small amounts near the end. Jojoba oil sits high in the list, and organic sea buckthorn, sweet almond, avocado and rosehip oils help soften skin. Apply to clean skin before your moisturiser; the Niacinamide Gel Moisturiser is a good match if even tone is your goal. In the morning, finish with sunscreen. The serum contains fragrance: parfum, bitter orange, lemon and geranium oils and vanillin, with limonene, linalool, geraniol and citronellol among the listed components. It also contains sweet almond oil, so avoid it if you react to almonds. If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, patch-test a small area first.
