Retinol Alternative Moisturiser

A retinol alternative moisturiser for skin that wants to look smoother and more even without the dryness and flaking retinol can bring. It suits all skin types, and because it contains no retinol it can be used in the morning as well as the evening. The retinol alternative is Bidens pilosa extract, a plant extract studied as a gentler option; the evidence for it is early and comes mostly from laboratory work by the ingredient's supplier. Around it are organic aloe leaf juice, glycerin, sodium PCA and two forms of hyaluronic acid to hold water, dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline, murumuru and organic mango seed butters, cotton seed and linseed oils, and organic sea buckthorn extract. The vitamin C among its key ingredients is ascorbyl palmitate, present in a small amount near the end of the list. Smooth a small amount over clean face and neck in the morning, the evening or both, and use sunscreen by day. It contains fragrance (parfum and geranium oil, with geraniol, citronellol, linalool and citral), so patch-test first if scent tends to irritate your skin.
