Purifying Toner

A purifying toner for normal and oily skin that gets shiny or congested. It goes on after cleansing to refresh the skin and to deliver a little salicylic acid, the oil-soluble exfoliant that can work inside pores. Water and alcohol come first, which gives the toner its fresh, quick-drying feel, followed by organic lavender flower water, glycerin and betaine to stop it feeling tight. Salicylic acid comes after the plant extracts in the list, so it is present at a low level. Organic sweet flag root and cucumber extracts are included, and there is no added parfum, although the lavender water brings a light natural scent. Splash a little into your hands or onto a cotton pad and press it over clean skin, avoiding the eye area, then follow with moisturiser. Because alcohol is the second ingredient, it can feel drying on dry or sensitive skin; the toner is best suited to oily skin. For the occasional blemish, pair it with the Acne Spot Care.
