Antioxidant Ginkgo Gel Booster

The Antioxidant Ginkgo Gel Booster is a gel concentrate, not a standalone serum. You mix it into the face or body moisturiser you already use, so it adds plant antioxidants without adding a step. It is made for mature skin that looks dull or tired. Four plant extracts from organic farming give it its name: ginkgo leaf, green tea leaf, oak bark and grape seed. All four are sources of polyphenols, plant antioxidants that help protect the skin surface from free radicals formed by UV light and pollution. They sit after the fragrance in the ingredient list, so this is a gentle, everyday dose rather than a high-strength antioxidant serum. The oil-free gel base is water and alcohol thickened with carrageenan, cellulose gum and carob gum, with glycerin and glucose as humectants. Mix a small amount into your usual moisturiser, then apply as normal. It suits a richer cream such as the Nourishing Rich Cream, Fragrance Free, which adds no scent of its own. The booster contains fragrance (parfum), and alcohol is the second ingredient, so patch-test first if your skin is reactive. If scent bothers your skin, use the Sensitive Skin Moisturiser, Fragrance Free on its own instead, as there is no fragrance-free booster in the range.
