Double Hydration Boost Gel + HA

The Double Hydration Boost Gel is a hyaluronic acid gel moisturiser for normal and mature skin that feels tight or dehydrated. Its hydration comes from two kinds of water-binding ingredient used together, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid, in a gel with no oils. Organic aloe leaf juice takes the place of water as the first ingredient. Pentylene glycol, butylene glycol and glycerin draw water into the skin's surface layers. Sodium PCA, fifth in the list, is part of the skin's own natural moisturising factor. Hyaluronic acid comes in two forms, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid (smaller fragments), and helps hold that water at the surface, so skin looks smoother and fine lines caused by dryness look softer. Cellulose gum and algin, a thickener from seaweed, form the gel. Organic white tea and sage leaf extracts are present in small amounts. Apply to clean skin. On normal skin it can be your only moisturiser. Mature or drier skin may want a cream on top, such as the Nourishing Rich Cream, Fragrance Free or, in the evening, the Ceramide Barrier Night Cream. The gel contains fragrance (parfum). If you prefer to avoid fragrance entirely, the Sensitive Skin Moisturiser, Fragrance Free has a similar hydrating core of aloe, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid in a cream.
