Ceramide Barrier Night Cream

A ceramide night cream for dry and normal skin that feels tight, rough or easily upset by the end of the day. It is built around lipids rather than a single headline active, because lipids are what the skin's outer barrier is made of. Instead of one synthetic ceramide, the formula uses a small amount of plant glycosphingolipids and glycolipids (ceramide-type lipids) alongside palmitic and stearic fatty acids and a base of shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba and sunflower oil. Sodium hyaluronate and sodium PCA draw water into the surface layers, and the lipids help hold it there overnight. Aloe leaf juice takes the place of water as the first ingredient, and vitamin E protects the oils in the jar. Use a small amount as the last step of your evening routine, on clean skin or over a serum. It contains fragrance (parfum, with linalool and limonene from essential oils), so if scent tends to irritate your skin, the Nourishing Rich Cream, Fragrance Free is the better choice.
