BiPhasic Make-up Remover, Fragrance Free

A biphasic makeup remover for all skin types. Two layers sit apart in the bottle: an oil phase that dissolves makeup and a watery phase based on aloe leaf juice. Shaking mixes them just before use, so one pad does both jobs. If you want a fragrance free makeup remover, there is no parfum and no essential oil in this formula. Aloe leaf juice from organic farming is the first ingredient, in place of water, and forms the watery phase with two humectants, butylene glycol and glycerin. The oil phase is isoamyl laurate, coco-caprylate/caprate and coconut alkanes, light emollients that let makeup wipe away without scrubbing. Sodium chloride (salt) helps the layers separate again after shaking, and a little caprylyl/capryl glucoside, a mild sugar-based cleanser, helps lift residue. Sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) and extracts of camomile, sea buckthorn, raspberry, paprika and rosemary are present in small amounts, and tocopherol (vitamin E) protects the oils. Shake until the layers combine, soak a cotton pad, hold it on the skin for a few seconds and wipe gently. Repeat until the pad comes away clean, then use your usual cleanser if you like.
